Book recommendation: Coping skills, relaxation and stress reduction

Updated: May 1

Finding effective ways to manage stress, worry, sadness, and other emotions is an important part of self-care and a hoped for outcome in therapy. Without effective tools to manage distress and difficult emotion we are at higher risk for anxiety, depression, and other issues. One excellent resource for building coping skills and developing stress reduction and relaxation tools can be found in "The Relaxation and Stress Reduction Workbook." It is straight forward and clearly written, and can be a helpful adjunct to weekly therapy.
